Practice sailing for Sailing 1.0 graduates (and anyone else who wants to sail)
Sailing 1.0 teaches new sailors the basic concepts of sailing and safety on a keelboat. You leave Sailing 1.0 with and ASA-101 certification (if you pass). Some people have said that level of knowledge and skill is an invitation to learn more.
Blue Pacific Yachting is confident our Sailing 1.0 graduates can handle a small keelboat with an outboard motor and tiller. We also believe students master the material in any course more completely when they leave the protection of a class and use their knowledge and skill.
BPY requires all students transitioning to Cruising 1.0 from Sailing 1.0 to sail for at least six hours without an instructor. We know a day of recreational sailing will give you more confidence and more fully prepare you for all the new and wonderful things you are about to learn in Cruising 2.0. There’s no better way to prepare for your next sailing adventure than with a group of other developing sailors enjoying a day on the water.
